Offline in Grahan: An Unforgettable Trek Experience

On the Road to Kasol: Exploring the Enchanting Journey
This trip should be titled “most unprepared trip in the history of this Poser”. Since I didn’t move my bum out of bed anymore after coming back from my 24 km trek, which left me fully sunburned, I neither knew the bus timings to Kasol nor did I get money to pay the hotel bill.

A Hike to Solang Valley: Following the Cotton Candy
I woke up to a clear blue sky and a warm sun – which already made my day (not knowing yet that I would curse it later and beg for some clouds to appear).
The first and most important thing to do before starting my hike to Solang Valley, was to finally wash my hair! The hotel didn’t have a hair dryer and the thought alone of drying them in the cold air made me fall sick.

Jogni Falls: A Magical Waterfall and Endless Apple Orchards
I must’ve slept for 10 or 11 hours straight – fully deserved if you ask me. Since there was only a rather short hike of maybe 12-14 km to Jogni falls on my agenda, I felt that I had all the time in the world.

The Hills Are Calling: Trekking in Himachal Pradesh
“When are you going?” “I don’t know.”

What a great planner I am! This time I actually didn’t know any details about my trip until 2 days before I left. All I knew was that I wanted to go trekking in Himachal Pradesh – or at least somewhere đ
In my defense, this cluelessness was not really due to my laziness but simply because a friend could not decide whether he’d tag along or not. -

The route on day 5 was again not very exhausting. Only 19 km till A RuĂĄ with a few hills. Lush green fields, eucalyptus forests, passing beautiful old towns and the obligatory hĂłrreos. There are a lot of pilgrims who walk the 39 km till Santiago in one go but definitely not amateur pilgrims like us!

Camino de Santiago from Melide to ArzĂșa: A Pilgrim’s Diary
The morning started with a surprise: no pain. Am I still alive? Have I lost my legs overnight and thatâs why I couldnât feel the oh-so-familiar pain in my muscles?
Nope, still there. Strange.
